An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the body of the missing man was recovered six days after intensive search operations conducted by the SDRF, police and local volunteers. The deceased was identified as Showkat Ahmad Gujjar (31), son of Mohammad Gulab Gujjar, a resident of Yali Bonakoot.
